Mission field: Taiwan
Pre Field Training

Training this weekend up in the mountains of Colorado was an amazing experience and a super big blessing. God continues to grow my heart of Thailand and I’ve definitely come back this weekend even more excited to see what God will do.

I met my team over in Colorado and we are one interesting bunch of people who bring a whole range of personalities and i am soo excited. We got some funnny people. Time to make Thailand laugh.

Our God is powerful. During one of the sessions, one of our awesome staff members shared Isaiah 42:5-9 with us

 5Thus says God, the LORD,
   who created the heavens and stretched them out,
   who spread out the earth and what comes from it,
   who gives breath to the people on it
   and spirit to those who walk in it:
6“I am the LORD; I have called you in righteousness;
   I will take you by the hand and keep you;
I will give you as a covenant for the people,
    a light for the nations,

 7 to open the eyes that are blind,
to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon,
    from the prison those who sit in darkness.
8I am the LORD; that is my name;
    my glory I give to no other,
   nor my praise to carved idols.
9Behold, the former things have come to pass,
   and new things I now declare;
before they spring forth
   I tell you of them.”

 and she asked “we believe in Jesus, but do we believe Jesus?” Do we believe that Jesus says who He is? Do we believe that He will do what He says He will do? He says He will open the eyes that are blind, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, from the prison those who sit in the darkness. Our God is powerful. He really doesn’t need us to do things for Him, but He has chosen to have us join Him in his ministry and everything our team does in Thailand or everything the other Serve Asia teams do in Asia is all by God power and for God’s glory. The thought of this overwhelms my heart knowing that the most high King, the most powerful God is on our side, He loves each and every soul and he longs for his children to return to Him.

The last session of the training was about spiritual warfare. Spiritual warfare is very real and very present in Thailand and so I’m asking you guys to please keep lifting up my team in your prayers. This is super important. Our God is greater than any other and prayer is the most powerful tool not used!

Shower Thailand and shower the team in your prayers.

with joy,

Katie
