The day is finally here!
I am so excited for the time I’ll be spending in Thailand this summer, sharing the good news with those who haven’t heard. But I can’t help but feel a little homesick already. The rest of my happy family (aka my church) has already left to retreat and as I waved goodbye to them it hit me how much I would miss them. I haven’t gone long than 2 weeks without seeing SOMEONE from my church (I went on missions with them last year) in around TEN YEARS! What a crazy thought… So, dearest happy family, I’m going to miss you a lot (:
I was reading Matthew the other day and came across these verses:
5the blind receive their sight and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.
and those words pierced me. Such an awesome visual of how powerful our God is! Blind people seeing! Lame walking, Diseases cured, deaf hearing, dead raising, and the poor have GOOD NEWS preached to them! All of those by themselves are amazing and God does them all!
okay! We’re leaving for Thailand tonight (: Please be praying! I’ll keep you guys posted when I can.
